Overview:
The product development material manager is responsible for managing development of all leather, material and hardware.

The product development material manager is responsible for managing development of all leather, material and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Design to create color cards for each season.
- Manage development of all leather, material and hardware to ensure on time deliveryOrganize and pass all colors, materials, and specs for new development.
- Create product detail sheets on all new products.
- Work with PD to create material color cards for factories.
- Assist Director & PD Manager to create development and final sample material orders.
- Order and follow up on all materials and hardware for development and final samples.Follow up on formal POs for vendors.
- Work with PD Manager to provide factories standards for all materials and hardware for clear direction on standards.Manage material libraries.
- Work with Design and PD to create and maintain new hardware by style documents each season.Maintain hardware Index.
- Create and maintain material and hardware books with corrections, approvals, general information sheets and purchase orders by vendor.
- Create material trim charts for each factory for final market samples.
- Work with PD team and vendors to obtain standards for production pass off and PD material spec cards.Attend local trade shows, follow up on swatches ordered, and create sample book and present to Design.
- Vendor visits on a regular basis.Perform other related duties as necessary.
