Job Description:
The Business Analyst will review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation. The Business Analyst will participate in planning and implementation efforts for Software Development projects and help ensure the Software Development team remains in scope of the requirements. The BA is responsible for developing a keen understanding of the business needs and translating this knowledge into functional and technical requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Coordinate development, implementation and maintenance between teams
· Write functional and technical specifications for use by IT and business teams
· Obtain project scope through unit interviews, workshops, site visits, and documentation
· Analyze and make recommendations for system modifications/enhancement to meet the needs of the end users to improve the product
· Read and modify SQL and business/data object designs for use by end users
· Deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
· Write and read UI prototypes for use by project teams
· Function as the project manager or lead on projects of moderate complexity
· Test and QA new product or implemented product before training
· Develop training and change management plans to promote user adaption
· Conduct system overviews demonstrating new project features
· Support production systems by answering questions, resolving defects, and triaging enhancement requests
· Experience in defining project scope, gathering requirements, developing workflow analysis, and testing using agile methodology
· Possess and leverage analytical and critical thinking skills to enhance processes and improve service levels.
· Communications skills, human relations skills and organizational skills.
Personally project motivation and drive along with a positive attitude, and work to demonstrate mastery of the identified competencies
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years in-depth business with heavy experience serving in a business/I.T. liaison role
Working knowledge of systems development cycles, methodologies, and work flow diagramming
Experience in successfully leading projects
Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
