JobDescription:

The Specialist will be responsible foranalysis of complex legacy program modules, coding and testing of new andexisting modules for major modifications to legacy applications.

The NC Department of Transportation(NCDOT) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month) contractorassignment. The selected candidate will fill the role of Specialist on the StateAutomated Driver License System(SADLS). The Specialist will be responsible foranalysis of complex legacy program modules, coding and testing of new andexisting modules for major modifications to legacy applications.

Role responsibilities:

•        Analyze, define, and document requirements fordata and business processes

•        Document the program and project deliverables asassigned

•        Provide quality control for project deliverables

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequirements:

Must Have:

•        Minimum of 1 year of experience exposing CICSand COBOL programs as web services via CICS Transaction Server (CTS)

•        Proven knowledge of principles and techniques ofcomputer programming, testing, debugging, implementation and documentation.

•        Excellent communication skill (written, verbal,presentations)

•        Ability to resolve highly complex problems.

•        Self-starter who can work with a large anddiverse team of business, management and IT individuals.

•        Microsoft Suite experience (e.g, Word, Excel,PowerPoint), COBOL, CICS, TSO, MVS JCL, ENDEVOR, CA Tools, SQL, DB2 and VSAM.

Preferred:

•        Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Experience
