Data Communications Engineer

Job Description:
Data Communications Engineer Consultant will be responsible for:
Data networking switch support,installing, provisioning, and maintaining Cisco data switches.
Troubleshootingnetworking connectivity issues on both wired and wireless networks.
Documenting network information andupdating the CMDB.
Patching network jacks and re-engineeringcable management in data closets.
Working under supervision of the teamlead to ensure UPMC policies and adhered to and remediation where needed.
2nd and 3rd shift work forcloset cleanup and re-patching network connections.
Travel will be involved (notovernight).
Ideally candidate wouldalso have experience in:
Phone and station programming
PBX and call tree planning
Documentation of phone practices andutilization reports of services at each site (POTS lines, closet pics / closetcleanup)
Phone system cleanup
Required Skillsets andQualifications of a successful candidate must include:
Data Communications Engineer
Entry to Intermediate experiencelevel
Required: CCENT
Preferred: CCNA, Avaya andAVST certifications
