Job Description:
Location: Mandeville, LA
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare conceptual routes, layouts, preliminary designs as well as detailed designs utilizing established guidelines and specifications for high voltage transmission lines.
Prepare plan and profile sheets, staking sheets, bills of materials, and stringing charts.Develop and modify design criteria utilizing industry standards and/or client specifications.
Develop and modify pole loading drawings, framing drawings, and construction drawings.
Develop and modify terrain models.Perform structure loading calculations.
Attend project site visits/walk downs.Provide construction support.Perform as-built revisions.
QualificationsREQUIRED :
Bachelor's Degree Engineering from an a ABET accredited engineering school.EIT Certified.
3 to 7 years transmission line design experience.Proficient in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, and experience with Auto CAD and/or Micro station.
Ability to prioritize work and manage tasks for multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
High level of personal initiative and ability to interact with personnel, clients, and contractors.Strong problem solving and analytical skills and must be proficient on the computer.
PREFERREDExperience: with PLS-TOWER, and SAG10 are preferred.Familiar with CPUC GO-95 & 131-DNorthern California work experience.
