Role:Business Systems Analyst

Location: Sandpoint, IL


Position Purpose and Scope:

  • The Business Systems Analyst will work to ensure alignment of business processes with company.
  • This position will strive to make current systems more efficient for users while constantly evaluating the changing needs of the business and looking for improved solutions, acting as a liaison between business departments and IT.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships with the business users in order to analyze and evaluate current and future business needsAlign business needs and system processes .
  • Elicit and develop business requirements through interviews, meetings, existing systems documentation and/or procedures.Create business and technical documentation defining processes, roles and technology interaction .
  • Communicate effectively business needs to internal and external Application DevelopersParticipate in the upgrade and/or enhancement process of existing business softwareImplement new software solutionsManage multiple projectsCoordinate or lead the testing and/or training process for new systems or new functionalityInstruct users in the proper use of equipment and software.
  • Recommend or perform actions to correct problems.Contribute to a positive IT work environment that is built on hard work, collaboration, respect for each other, and a desire to learn.
  • Collaborate with the IT Business Solutions, Development and Technology groupsDevelop new reports using Gembase, SSRS, Quantrix, Tableau and other systemsAll staff shall be informed of their responsibility to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5+ years work related experience. Knowledge,

Must demonstrate competency in the following areas:

Technical Understanding, Analyzing Information, Informing Others, Problem Solving, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Project Management and Quality ManagementFamiliar with Relational Database Concepts and Client Server ConceptsSQL experience preferredSolid understanding of ERP systemsExperience managing projects and leading a teamAdvanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsEffectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers and users.Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusionsPositive outlook and commitment to team success
