Role:Power Electronics Engineer Loc:Hawthorne, CA


Responsibilities :

Develop innovative hardware and software solutions for performance evaluation of power electronics systemsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to close out Dragon 2 power system performance test, qualification and certification activities

Own hardware development assignments, including system trades, end to end documentation, scheduling, design analysis, build, and testDesign high reliability power electronics, including fault isolation, filters, power stages, magnetics, control electronics, and thermal solutions .


Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineeringHands on experience working with power electronics1+ years of hands on experience with modeling, simulation, and testing of DC power converter electronicsPreferred Skills And ExperienceMasters degree in electrical engineering or equivalentProficiency with Python, Altium, and SPICE based simulation toolsExperience with software developmentExperience with magnetics analysis and selectionExperience with EMI/EMC compatibilityExperience with spacecraft electrical power systems and radiation effectsExperience building a switching power supply from ground upExperience with schematic capture and board layoutDemonstrated success in a team design environmentKnowledge of and experience with fundamental power converter topologies and semiconductor devicesPassion for hardware simulation and developmentHands-on engineer excited to work in a fast paced environmentItar RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
