Location:Plano, TX
RateS:$50/hr on a W2 all incl
Duration:1 year
The Scrum Master is the servantleader for the team and must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts andprinciples are adhered to. The Scrum Master is accountable for guiding,coaching, teaching and assisting team in Scrum / Agile principles and drivingprocess improvement. The Scrum Master, works with the team to delivervalue and coordinates within and outside of the team to facilitate thecompletion of the team’s backlog.
Responsibilities: Assurethe team adheres to Scrum and facilitates the scrum ceremonies: FacilitateDaily Scrum / stand up, Story Point Estimation, Sprint Planning, Backlogrefinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Kaizen Work withProduct Owner to prioritize Epics, Features and User Stories Capture and reportteam performance metrics (Velocity) Performs coaching, advocates, protects andsolves problems as required. Proactively helps the team identify and resolveimpediments and shields team from interruptions during the Sprint Projectmanagement responsibilities are, but not limited to: Manage project scope andlifecycle, developing project schedules and budgets, manage risks, ensureproject quality, develop and implement communication plans, manage third partyvendors and system integrators Coordinate with multiple IS and Business groupsto define scope and requirements Provide leadership to team, set direction anddrive team to objectives, leading by example. Communicate with people at alllevels of the organization, able to present presentations via tools such asPowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
Requirements:
Strongknowledge of Agile / Scrum process, language and ceremonies 3-5 years of Agiledelivery experience CSM, PSM, or ACP or other Scrum Master agilecertification BS or BA degree in computer science,business administration, or related technical field or equivalent experience isrequired Minimum5 years in product management in large enterprise environments overseeing smallto large teams directly and in matrix managed environments Excellentwritten and verbal communication, presentation and organizational skills, andthe ability to build strong working relationships with technical andnon-technical teams alike at all levels including senior management Stronginterpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide the efforts ofsmall or large teams to successful project completion Skills with standard projectmanagement tools including MS Office products and Jira
