Job Description:
Role:Senior Engineer, Thermal Analyst
Loc:Bothell, WA
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the sizing, design, development and integration of components and subsystem comprising the electrical powertrain
- Collaborate on the design and development of cooling systems for powertrain components Document component and subsystems requirements and/or specifications
- Collaborate to develop and execute the engineering project plan for rapid product developmentSkills
- Skilled in mathematical modeling, and numerical simulation of thermal systems using Matlab Simulink and/or Flomaster
- Detailed knowledge of CFD/thermal simulation using Ansys-FluentExperience in mechanical and thermal design of electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with thermal management component selection (including pumps, fans, and/or heat exchangers)
- Fluency with testing methods and data acquisition tools for low frequency thermal data
- Strong technical writing and presentingFirst-hand experience with refrigeration or HVAC systems
- M.S. or higher in mechanical engineering with 2 years of relevant experience
- B.S. in mechanical engineering with 4 years of relevant experience
- PreferredPhD in mechanical engineering with 2 years of related experience
