Job Description:
Responsibilities
• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloudbased production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalabilityand security of productions systems.
• Build, release and configuration management of productionsystems.
• Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the qualityof our products / services.
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform andapplication domains.
• Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending processimprovements.
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
• Ensuring critical system security through the use of best inclass cloud security solutions.
Technical Skills Required
• AWS: Minimum2 years’ experience with using a broad range ofAWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch,KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with anemphasis on best practice cloud security. Elastic Map Reduce, Elastic ContainerRegistry and Service, Cloudformation.
•Should have experience in Docker, Kubernetes
• DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptimeAmazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configurationmanagement tools.
• Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) andautomation skills.
• Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools(e.g. Nagios).
• Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complexinfrastructure resource and application deployment issues
• OO Programming Skills: Strong OO Programming skills (Java orC#).
• DB Skills: Basic DB administration experience (Oracle, SQLServer).
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile softwaredevelopment, project management methodologies.
• Version Control: Experience administrating version controlsystems such as SVN.
• Networking: Understanding network topologies and commonnetwork protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
