Job Description:
Role: Lead Java Programmer
Location:Hartford, CT
Duration: 6 Months
Responsibilities of the Lead Java Programmer:
- Provide technical leadership in the development of technical solutions
- Serve as subject matter expert on supported software applications
- Lead the technical delivery of assigned projects from end to end
- Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impede project delivery
- Coordinate with architecture team to ensure technical solution designs are aligned with architectural vision
- Requirements of the Lead Java Programmer:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
- At least 5 years of programming/systems analysis expertise (Java, Oracle, web services)
- Advanced knowledge of Agile best practices and methodology - Scrum, Kanban, XP
- Demonstrated aptitude for leading teams and development activities
- Ability to complete tasks according to defined timelines
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills
- Exposure to code quality tools like SonarQube
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
