Role:Junior Database Administrator
Location:Overland Park, KS
Position OverviewResponsible for writing and reviewing SQL code used across multiple applications, and daily administration and support of SQL databases.
Key Responsibilities :
- Write, review and optimize SQL code used in several different applicationsWork with data and client teams to deliver efficient data solutionsDaily administration of multiple SQL databases.
- Produce and maintain database disaster recovery plan.Configure SQL Server, Storage Area Networks (SANs), to yield high availability Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to company standards regarding privacy.
- Produce database diagram, design documents and scripts.
Professional Experience/qualifications (TOP 3-5 SKILLS DESIRED) :-
- Has developing proficiency inDemonstrates solid understanding ofComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize SQL Server 2012/2014 or higher.
- Works on assignments that are complex in nature in which judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems.
- EducationExperience with performance tuning, ETL (DTS/SSIS), SQL Server administration, database backup, database restoration, management plan, set up and alerts etc.,
- Advanced understanding of T- SQL , indexes, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, etc.
- Hands on experience in Microsoft 2003 or later Windows OS.
- Must demonstrate good analytical skills as it relate to data identification and mapping and excellent oral communication skills.
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task and be able to work within deadlines; must be team-oriented, but also be able to work independently.
