Job Description:
Job Responsibilities
Proactively analyze and identify organic search opportunities and develop a roadmap to attain improved rankings and increase organic traffic
Work closely with IT and Marketing to develop website enhancements that create relevant and indexable content that meet SEO requirements
Develop SEO strategies and plans for both site-wide efforts as well as campaign-level programs.
Serve as a liaison with software engineers to create new tools
Develop reporting and insight capabilities to effectively assess progress and opportunities
Work with Product managers to build SEO roadmap and properly execute against it
Ensure a careful balance of on/off page optimization including content generation and link building (internal/external)
Monitor existing SEO campaigns and rankings and proactively report concerns or opportunities
Analyze and update internal linking structure to meet SEO requirements
Manage day-to-day SEO tasks & projects
Stay up to date with industry trends and inform other stake holders on required changes
Drive education and processes to enable marketing and product teams to develop SEO friendly programs
Job Requirements
5+ year experience in natural search for an e-commerce or related company
Deep understanding of search engines and what influences rankings and indexation
Advanced experience with SEO tools such as Google and Bing Webmaster Tools, Moz, SEM Rush, etc.
In-depth understanding of how to structure page elements for optimal heirarchy of information
Strong analytic ability: deep understanding of quantitative and qualitative analytic techniques to identify opportunities, assess results and continuously improve.
Deep understanding of effective Mobile SEO strategy and implementation
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A thorough understanding of keyword research and how to identify potential high-value terms
Must be self-directed, motivated and innovative in a fast paced, ever-evolving work environment.
Software Product Management experience a plus
SQL a plus.
